A singlet takes more abuse than almost any other piece of custom apparel: it stretches to the limit every match, grinds against the mat, soaks in sweat, and gets washed constantly. That’s exactly the environment where a surface print fails — and where sublimation shines.
Why singlets are hard on prints

Screen print and heat transfer on singlets
These methods lay ink or vinyl on top of the fabric. On a stretchy singlet, that layer flexes with every move and eventually cracks, lifts at the edges, or peels — especially on names and numbers that take repeated stress.
Sublimation on singlets
Sublimation dyes the design into the fabric itself, so there’s nothing sitting on top to crack or peel. Because the color is part of the fiber, it can run edge to edge — full-color patterns, gradients, and all-over designs a surface print can’t reach.

When printing still makes sense
